Daisy Newey Cert AVP BVM&S MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon & Practice Director
Having graduated from Edinburgh back in 2001, I still truly love my job. Helping owners and their pets through the good times and the bad, is something I feel very privileged to be able to do. I've worked locally to Malvern for almost ten years, with a special interest in surgery I have experience in a range of complex soft tissue procedures together with minimally invasive keyhole surgery for routine neutering. I am also trained in veterinary acupuncture, a procedure which can help alleviate chronic pain in our older patients.
My dream has always been to open an independent veterinary clinic that does things a little differently – caring for both patients and their owners alike, and with an emphasis on customer care and being there to support you and your pet.
For me, a home without pets feels like something is missing. They bring so much into our lives; companionship, happiness and love, but the flip side of all that love, is how stressful it can be when they are unwell. Making the best decisions for our pets in these times, can be difficult, leaving some owners feeling conflicted and overwhelmed. And that's why it's so important to me to work closely with owners to build trust and understanding.
These are such exciting times for me and the amazing team I've put together. We can't wait to welcome you and your pets to Malvern Hills Vets.
Daisy's four-legged companion is the energetic Puffin, a black Labrador, while Merlin the tabby is the much-loved, but somewhat naughty, family cat.
